What happened: The Los Angeles Lakers ruled out forward Ziaire Williams for Friday's matchup against the Golden State Warriors. Williams was downgraded due to left foot injury management ahead of tipoff.

Why it matters: The absence thins Los Angeles' wing depth as the team manages his recovery in the early stretch of the schedule. Williams had joined the rotation during the offseason when the Lakers added Ziaire Williams to their rotation.

What to watch: The Lakers face the Golden State Warriors on Friday, with tipoff set for 10:00 PM ET.
