What happened: Landry Shamet scored 22 points off the bench for the Knicks on Monday night, hitting 4 of 6 from three-point range and leading New York in scoring.

Why it matters: Shamet entered with 9.7 points per game in 2026-27 through 7 games, so the 22 more than doubles his season average. His last outing before this, on Oct. 28, produced 13 points off the bench on 3-for-5 from deep.

What to watch: New York's next game will show whether the bench scoring holds.
