What happened: The New England Patriots are listening to trade offers for defensive tackle Christian Barmore ahead of the Nov. 10 trade deadline, per Albert Breer. New England is seeking roughly a fourth-round draft pick in exchange for the sixth-year lineman. Barmore has seen reduced playing time in 2026 after falling behind Milton Williams and Cory Durden in the defensive front rotation.

Why it matters: Moving Barmore would clear nearly $8 million in 2026 salary cap space and an additional $41 million across 2027 and 2028. The Patriots sit at 5-3 in the AFC playoff race and hold nine selections in the 2027 draft as they manage long-term roster construction. Williams and Durden have taken on starting interior snaps, logging 20 and 19 tackles respectively through eight games.

By the numbers: Barmore has logged 7 tackles, 3.5 sacks, and 14 pressures while playing 43.6% of defensive snaps in 2026 through seven games, down from 65.6% last season. Meanwhile, Milton Williams has posted 20 tackles and one sack across eight games, and Cory Durden has added 19 tackles and 1.5 sacks.

What to watch: The NFL trade deadline arrives Nov. 10 at 4 p.m. ET. New England continues its regular-season slate against upcoming AFC opponents while monitoring mid-round trade offers.
