What happened: Leavitt showed up with the lone doubtful designation on LSU's initial SEC injury report Wednesday night ahead of Saturday's matchup between No. 7 LSU and No. 8 Ole Miss. LSU's opening depth chart places Elon transfer Landen Clark behind him, with former USC quarterback Husan Longstreet also in the room.

Why it matters: Any change at quarterback would land in one of the SEC's biggest games of the week and add another layer to Lane Kiffin's return to Oxford after leaving Ole Miss for Baton Rouge. It would also force LSU to lean on its backup plan in a top-10 conference matchup with early standings weight.

What to watch: Watch LSU's next availability update and Saturday pregame indications for whether Leavitt's status changes. If it does not, Clark appears first in line based on the opening depth chart.
