What happened: Manchester City defeated Crystal Palace, with Fabrizio Romano flagging the result as a statement that Pep Guardiola's side are 'not giving up' in the Premier League title race. The win keeps City within striking distance of leaders Arsenal heading into the final stretch of the 2025-26 campaign. Romano invited fans to nominate their Man of the Match from the performance.

Why it matters: The result matters because City entered the matchday two points behind Arsenal with two games remaining, per social context attached to the signal. Dropping points against Palace would have effectively ended City's defense of the title; instead the victory keeps the pressure squarely on Arsenal, whose own run-in includes a West Ham fixture Guardiola has already admitted he will be watching. With two matchweeks left, the title can still be decided on the final day.

What to watch: Watch Arsenal's next fixture, where any slip lets City close the gap further before the final matchday. Guardiola's rotation and Arsenal's nerves under run-in pressure are the storylines to track.
