What happened: Marco Reus was named to MLS Team of the Matchday Bench in the league's latest weekly honors. The selection gives him another league nod during a busy September run.

Why it matters: The repeat recognition keeps Reus in the conversation as the MLS regular season pushes forward. It also extends the momentum from his Sept. 8 Team of the Matchday selection after an 11th-minute penalty opened a 2-1 win.

By the numbers: Reus has now picked up two MLS Team of the Matchday honors in seven days. His earlier Sept. 8 selection followed an 11th-minute penalty in a 2-1 result.

What to watch: Watch whether Reus follows the latest honor with another decisive contribution in his next outing. A continued run of end product would keep him in the weekly league honors mix.
