What happened: Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca told TeleNord Awards he is 'feeling ready for next chapter,' addressing speculation about the Manchester City job directly. Maresca said what matters 'apart from clubs, is to be ready,' adding there are 'few weeks before the season ends and then we will see what happens.' Fabrizio Romano reports Manchester City have long viewed Maresca as a leading successor candidate.

Why it matters: The comments land as Man City continue to view Maresca as their top Guardiola successor candidate, raising the prospect of a manager swap at two of England's biggest clubs. Guardiola has already conceded the title race is in Arsenal's hands, intensifying questions about his long-term future. For Chelsea, who recently endured a six-match Premier League losing run, losing Maresca mid-rebuild would be destabilizing.

What to watch: Watch for clarification from Chelsea's hierarchy and any movement on Guardiola's own future at City as the Premier League season closes. Romano flagged direct contact between clubs as the key tell to monitor.
