What happened: The Dallas Mavericks are actively fielding trade offers for veteran center Daniel Gafford, according to Marc Stein. The Utah Jazz are considered a strong candidate to pursue Gafford in exchange for young prospects.

Why it matters: The Jazz need to replace the interior presence lost in the Walker Kessler trade and secure reliable depth behind Jusuf Nurkic. Gafford brings valuable playoff experience from his recent postseason run with the Mavericks. Moving the center would allow Dallas to acquire younger assets to develop alongside Cooper Flagg.

What to watch: Watch if the Jazz are willing to part with multiple prospects to bolster their frontcourt rotation ahead of the upcoming season.
