What happened: Devin McCourty highlighted the Indianapolis Colts and New York Jets as potential destinations for Lamar Jackson next season. The analyst pointed to both franchises during an appearance on Yahoo Sports Daily when discussing future landing spots for the quarterback.

Why it matters: Both the Colts and Jets enter the second half of the season searching for stability at the quarterback position. Jackson remains sidelined with a thumb injury, while ongoing contractual uncertainty continues to fuel speculation about his future. Any pursuit next season would demand substantial draft capital and roster restructuring from an acquiring team.

What to watch: Indianapolis and New York continue their regular-season schedules while monitoring quarterback options ahead of the offseason. Jackson's recovery timeline and contract status will shape any potential market heading into the spring.
