RT @Mets: Tonight’s game has been postponed. It will be made up as a split doubleheader on Wednesday, June 24. https:/

What happened: The New York Mets announced that tonight's scheduled game has been postponed. The contest will be made up as a split doubleheader on Wednesday, June 24.

Why it matters: A split doubleheader compresses the schedule and taxes the pitching staff, forcing the Mets to manage rotation and bullpen workloads across two games in one day. With New York sitting at 34-43, every reshuffled date adds strain to a club already fighting to climb back in the standings.

By the numbers: The Mets enter at 34-43 on the season, having gone 2-3 over their last five with a current two-game skid, scoring 4.0 runs per game while allowing 4.4.

What to watch: Watch for the Mets to announce starters for both ends of Wednesday's twin bill, along with any roster move to add a fresh arm for the doubleheader.
