What happened: The Mets announced a KPop Demon Hunters theme night for Saturday, Aug. 15, at Citi Field. The first 15,000 fans through the gates will receive a Mets KPop Demon Hunters jersey as part of the promotion.

Why it matters: The giveaway follows a similar Norwegian fan theme built around Viking Row, part of a run of themed nights the club has used to drive attendance during a rebuilding season. The Mets enter the second half at 36-52.

By the numbers: Mets are 36-52 this season, dropping four of their last five (L3 streak) while scoring 4.1 runs per game and allowing 4.8.

What to watch: Tickets for the Aug. 15 giveaway night are available through the team's promotional page ahead of the second-half schedule.
