What happened: MLS also fined Inter Miami CF and Guillermo Hoyos undisclosed amounts for repeated violations of its Late Kickoff Policy. The rule requires teams to be on the field for the scheduled start of each half.

Why it matters: The discipline lands as Cristian “Kily” González reportedly prepares to replace Hoyos. González would be Miami's third coach this season after Javier Mascherano stepped down in April.

What to watch: An announcement on González is expected Friday. Hoyos must serve the ban Saturday when Miami hosts CF Montréal.
