What happened: Morgan Whittaker, 25, signed a Designated Player contract and will occupy an international roster slot. The deal was completed before the secondary transfer window closed.

Why it matters: The winger was recruited to create and score from wide areas within the planned attacking system. His long-term deal positions him as a foundational piece beyond the current regular-season run-in.

What to watch: His first squad selection will show how quickly he enters the attacking rotation.
