What happened: A potential roster move could send Skylar Diggins to the Washington Mystics. The scenario surfaces in response to reported frustrations over her evolving responsibilities with the Chicago Sky.

Why it matters: Acquiring the veteran could provide a spark for a Washington squad looking to improve its standing. For Chicago, parting with a playmaker they recently pushed in All-Star balloting would represent a major shift in strategy.

What to watch: Front office decisions in both cities will be closely monitored as the trade deadline approaches.
