What happened: WNBA All-Star fan voting for the 2026 season officially launched on Thursday, prompting the Chicago Sky to initiate a campaign for veteran guard Skylar Diggins. Fans can cast their ballots daily through June 27 to determine the starters for the mid-season showcase.

Why it matters: Diggins has served as the Sky's primary floor general during a 4-8 start to the season, her first since calling her 2023 hiatus her best decision. Her veteran leadership is vital for a Chicago roster currently managing the season-ending injury of leading scorer Rickea Jackson.

By the numbers: Diggins leads Chicago with 4.5 assists per game while contributing 14.6 points. The Sky currently sit 12th in the WNBA standings and are looking to snap a seven-game losing streak.

What to watch: All-Star starters and reserves will be announced in July following the conclusion of the voting period.
