What happened: The three-round contest is scheduled for Sept. 12 at Yokohama Buntai, with a 5:30 p.m. local start. U-NEXT will carry the event in Japan alongside a global pay-per-view feed.

Why it matters: The rules switch comes after Nadaka's first defense of the ONE atomweight Muay Thai title in April. A Muay Thai title defense at ONE SAMURAI 4 follows on Oct. 17.

By the numbers: Nadaka beat Banluelok by unanimous decision across three rounds at ONE Friday Fights 114 in June 2025. His April title defense extended his overall winning streak to 41 bouts.
