What happened: Gavin Fien, Washington Nationals' No. 5 prospect, went 3-for-4 with two doubles, a single, one run and five RBIs to set the Spring Breakout RBI record in a 9-8 loss. The performance came against first-rounder Liam Doyle early, following an RBI double. Last year, Fien attended the event as a high school draftee.

Why it matters: Underscores Fien's offensive upside as a true hitter from the 2025 draft, potentially fast-tracking him in the Nats' system. Boosts his profile toward top-100 prospect status amid rebuild. No immediate betting lines impacted, but relevant for futures and dynasty leagues.

What to watch: Track Fien's minor league assignment, likely High-A Fredericksburg, and early-season stats for promotion trajectory.
