What happened: Prime Video let viewers without a Prime membership stream Friday night's NBA on Prime games for free through a web stream. Rockets-Spurs was part of the slate.

Why it matters: Free access took the national window past Prime's paying subscribers on the opening night of the service's Friday package. Both clubs came in with one game played, so a full week of games had yet to show where either team stands.

What to watch: Next up is whether Prime offers free nonmember access again for later Friday windows.
