What happened: New Jersey has loaned forward Stefan Noesen to the AHL's Utica Comets after he cleared waivers. The transaction officially removes him from the active NHL roster.

Why it matters: The reassignment shifts the forward to the minors ahead of the 2026-27 campaign. Noesen previously recorded 22 goals and 19 assists over 78 games during the 2024-25 season, but injuries have since impacted his trajectory.

What to watch: Noesen will report to Utica as the NHL preseason continues.
