What happened: The NFL issued two separate $17,911 fines to Baltimore Ravens linebacker Roquan Smith following plays from last week. One fine penalized Smith for twisting the facemask of Josh Allen on a touchdown. The league levied the second penalty for a hit on a defenseless player on a separate down.

Why it matters: The fines resolve a week of public scrutiny after Roquan Smith faced calls for league discipline following the tackle on Allen. Smith avoided a suspension, keeping the linebacker eligible without missing game action for Baltimore's defense.

What to watch: Smith and the Ravens defense return to action looking to rebound following a 33-10 loss to Jacksonville.
