What happened: With less than two weeks remaining in the 2026 midseason trade window, NFL clubs are matching available veterans to contending rosters. Active dealing already includes Indianapolis agreeing to send guard Quenton Nelson to the Seattle Seahawks, per Adam Schefter and Ian Rapoport.

Why it matters: Expiring contracts give rebuilding teams an incentive to convert veteran starters into future draft capital before free agency. Interior and edge defensive line depth is also drawing market interest, with Miami's Zach Sieler, Tennessee's Jermaine Johnson II, and New York Jets linemen Harrison Phillips and David Onyemata surfaced as potential deadline targets.

What to watch: Front offices have 13 days left before the Tuesday afternoon cutoff to finalize trade terms and submit paperwork to the league office.
