What happened: Goosby suffered the injury during Saturday's game against Ole Miss and will not play again this season, per ESPN's Pete Thamel. Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian said afterward that his starting left tackle's knee did not look good.

Why it matters: Goosby anchors the blind side for quarterback Arch Manning, who entered the campaign as the favorite to go first overall in the 2027 NFL Draft but has played unevenly this fall. Losing his top pass protector complicates the Longhorns' offense and could influence whether Manning enters the 2027 draft class or remains in college until 2028. Goosby also holds a remaining year of NCAA eligibility, giving him the option to return to Austin next season to rebuild his draft stock.

By the numbers: The 6-foot-7, 325-pound Goosby ranked 15th in pre-injury odds to be the No.

What to watch: Texas must now reshuffle its offensive line to protect Manning for the remainder of the 2026 schedule. Both Goosby and Manning face offseason decisions on whether to declare for the 2027 NFL Draft or return to school for the 2027 college campaign.
