What happened: Head coach Mike Vrabel opens New England's Wednesday schedule with a 1:05 p.m. ET media session, followed by locker room availability at 1:15 p.m. and practice at 2:10 p.m. Quarterback Drake Maye is slated to address reporters at 4:15 p.m. as the Patriots begin on-field preparation for the Miami Dolphins.

Why it matters: The eighth-seeded Patriots enter the week at 4-3 and can improve to 3-0 in AFC East play while looking to rebound from a 30-24 road loss on Oct. 22. The divisional matchup also puts New England across from four former Patriots now with 14th-seeded Miami: edge rusher Joshua Uche, offensive lineman Caedan Wallace, cornerback Marcellas Dial Jr., and linebacker Amari Gainer.

By the numbers: New England sits at 4-3 (2-0 AFC East, L1 streak, No. 8 seed) while Miami enters at 1-5 (W1 streak, No. 14 seed) after a 28-25 victory on Oct. 25. The Dolphins signed third-year linebacker Amari Gainer on Oct. 68 overall) and Marcellas Dial Jr. (sixth round, No. 180 overall) alongside Joshua Uche.

What to watch: Vrabel's 1:05 p.m. session and Wednesday's initial injury and participation report following the 2:10 p.m. practice will establish the week's availability baseline. Maye wraps up the team's media availability at 4:15 p.m. ahead of Thursday's practice.
