What happened: NFL teams confirmed their official inactive lists across Sunday's 12-game Week 8 schedule. The roster designations lock in game-day lineups ahead of early and afternoon kickoff windows. Players carrying injury tags through the week of practice received their final active or inactive statuses.

Why it matters: Midseason inactive designations test depth charts as coaching staffs adjust tactical plans on short notice. Roster absences shift responsibilities to second-string reserves and recent practice-squad elevations. With playoff positioning tightening across both conferences, health attrition begins to shape division races.

What to watch: The 12-game Sunday slate kicks off with early-afternoon matchups, followed by late-window games and Sunday night action.
