What happened: NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport teased a 4:30 p.m. ET reveal tied to the Los Angeles Chargers, posting "waiting for 4:30pm like" ahead of the league's full 2026 schedule release Thursday night. The cryptic note set off a wave of fan speculation, with replies urging the Chargers not to disappoint. The full slate drops at 8 p.m. ET on ESPN and NFL Network.

Why it matters: Schedule release day is one of the offseason's biggest traffic events, driving early Week 1 line moves, season-win futures, and prime-time exposure debates. For the Chargers, the 4:30 p.m. tease likely points to a marquee international or prime-time assignment, both of which carry travel and rest implications that books factor into early lookahead numbers.

What to watch: Watch for the 4:30 p.m. ET Chargers-specific announcement, then the full 2026 schedule drop at 8 p.m. ET on ESPN/NFLN for opponent order, bye week, and prime-time count.
