What happened: No. 1 Miami travels to face No. 4 Notre Dame in Week 10, headlining a college football schedule that features six matchups between Top 25 programs. The top-four meeting serves as the focal point of the weekend slate. Both programs enter the matchup positioned at the center of the national championship picture.

Why it matters: The outcome carries substantial postseason implications as Miami opened at No. 1 in the initial CFP rankings for the first time in program history. A victory provides a signature resume asset toward securing a first-round playoff bye, while a defeat leaves little margin for error in the race for at-large positioning.

What to watch: The teams meet Saturday in South Bend as the regular-season stretch run begins. The winner will hold direct control of its postseason path heading into the final month of play.
