Shohei Ohtani insists that he can play. Now, after looking completely out of sorts to start the postseason, it’s on him Via @MLBONFOX on X

What happened: The NLCS moves to Game 3 with Milwaukee ahead 2-0. Shohei Ohtani remains in the Los Angeles lineup after a Tuesday evaluation.

Why it matters: Production from the middle of the order decides whether Los Angeles extends the series. Continued empty at-bats shorten rallies and raise the cost of every Milwaukee lead.

By the numbers: Ohtani is 1-for-7 with zero home runs, zero RBIs and three strikeouts through two NLCS games.

What to watch: His spot in the order and timing at the plate carry Game 3.
