What happened: Oregon coach Dan Lanning announced Monday night that quarterback Dante Moore will not play again this season and will prepare for the 2027 NFL Draft. Moore has not played since a concussion in Week 4 against USC. Lanning said Moore has not been cleared for games: "I'm not anticipating him being back this season.

Why it matters: Moore was viewed as a top-five pick had he entered last year's draft, and he returned to Oregon to chase a national championship. The Ducks are 4-3 and need two more wins to reach bowl eligibility.

By the numbers: Moore finishes his Oregon career with 4,540 passing yards, 39 touchdowns and 10 interceptions, completing better than 71% of his passes. He went 16-3 as the starter, including a College Football Playoff semifinal appearance a year ago.

What to watch: Oregon will likely stay with Dylan Raiola at quarterback. Its remaining schedule includes Northwestern, Ohio State, Michigan and Washington.
