What happened: The Orioles enter Sunday's game in Houston with a 2-0 lead in the series after taking the first two meetings. Baltimore has won five straight games overall. The Astros host having dropped both prior games in the set.

Why it matters: Houston enters at 44-47 and has lost its last two games, while Baltimore sits at 44-45 in the middle of its five-game run. The form gap gives the Orioles momentum as they look to keep the streak going on the road.

By the numbers: Baltimore: 44-45, averaging 4.6 runs scored and 4.5 allowed. Houston: 44-47, averaging 4.6 runs scored and 5.0 allowed. Head-to-head: Orioles won 3-2 on July 17 and 4-2 on July 18.

What to watch: Sunday's game in Houston will determine whether the Orioles extend their winning streak or the Astros snap their two-game skid in the series.
