RT @danorlovsky7: Milton Williams the best DT in ball? @Patriots @MikeReiss #nfllive https://t.co/go46xDPXMO Via @danorlovsky7 on X

What happened: Dan Orlovsky put New England interior defender Milton Williams forward in the league's best-tackle debate on Oct. 16. Williams joined New England after starting his career with Philadelphia, which drafted the Louisiana Tech product 73rd overall in 2021.

Why it matters: Elite interior disruption forces extra protection inside and frees edge rushers on third down. New England's push up front shapes its run fits and pass-rush rotation through the 2026 regular season.

By the numbers: 29 tackles and 3.5 sacks in 12 games in 2025 with New England; drafted 73rd overall in the third round of 2021 out of Louisiana Tech.

What to watch: Upcoming matchups against top rushing attacks will test the claim snap by snap.
