What happened: Packers wide receiver Christian Watson left Thursday night's game against the Panthers with an apparent injury and was taken for tests at a hospital. He has been cleared and is on his way back to the stadium, per Kaylee Hartung. Green Bay leads Carolina 27-19 in the game that is still in progress.

Why it matters: Watson is a second-round pick from 2022 (34th overall, North Dakota State) and a regular part of the Green Bay passing game. The Packers are 4-3 and on a one-game losing streak after a 20-17 loss at Detroit on Oct. 25, so the game matters for their position in the NFC seeding picture.

By the numbers: Watson caught 35 passes for 611 yards and 6 touchdowns in 10 games in 2025, per ESPN. Ryan Fitzgerald leads all scorers tonight with 7 points, and Trey Smack has 3 for Green Bay.

What to watch: Watch whether Watson returns to the field in the second half. Green Bay's earlier word on him is in Wire Report's earlier update on his return to the sideline.
