What happened: New England claimed Muasau on waivers after his time with the New York Giants. The 2024 sixth-round pick entered the NFL from Hawaii and UCLA.

Why it matters: Muasau joins an off-the-ball linebacker group that includes Robert Spillane, Christian Elliss, K.J. Britt, Khalil Jacobs and Namdi Obiazor. His 341 special-teams snaps give New England another option across its coverage units ahead of the 2026 season.

By the numbers: Muasau has played 890 defensive snaps and 341 special-teams snaps in 27 games, including 18 starts. He is listed at 6-foot-0 and 234 pounds.

What to watch: New England's initial 2026 roster decisions will determine Muasau's role on defense and special teams.
