What happened: New Orleans opened submissions for national anthem performances at Pelicans games. Interested singers can send a video audition to entertainment@pelicans.com for consideration.

Why it matters: The call starts part of the club's pregame entertainment planning ahead of the 2026-27 home schedule. It also gives local performers a direct route into the team's in-arena presentation.

What to watch: Selections for individual home dates are likely to follow as the preseason and regular-season calendar takes shape.
