What happened: Alpine marked a career milestone for Pierre Gasly during the Barcelona-Catalunya Grand Prix, noting the French driver surpassed 50,000 kilometres raced across his Formula 1 career. The team framed it as the latest landmark in Gasly's time on the grid.

Why it matters: The figure underscores Gasly's longevity since debuting in the sport, spanning his stints before his current run with Alpine. Reaching the 50,000 km mark places him among the more seasoned drivers on the current grid and reflects a steady, full-time presence across multiple seasons.

What to watch: Attention turns to whether Gasly can convert that experience into results as Alpine's campaign continues through the rest of the 2026 season.
