What happened: Pittsburgh beat Cincinnati 9-4 at home in the team's 85th game of a 162-game schedule, with the broadcast carried on SportsNet Pittsburgh and radio on 93.7 The Fan. The nine-run output marked one of the club's stronger offensive nights of the stretch.

Why it matters: The win pushes Pittsburgh to a 1-game winning streak and helps steady a season sitting at 12-15. With more than half the schedule still ahead, banking comfortable home wins against a struggling division-adjacent opponent matters for staying in the mix.

What to watch: Pittsburgh turns to game 86 of 162 looking to extend the winning streak.
