What happened: Pete Prisco backed Harrison Smith as a Hall of Famer without hesitation. The endorsement came during a CBS football discussion posing the Canton question.

Why it matters: The stance adds a prominent media voice to Smith's eventual Canton evaluation. Such endorsements shape how veteran defensive backs are weighed once eligibility arrives.

What to watch: Smith's remaining playing time will shape how voters revisit the case. The debate will resume when his eligibility window opens.
