What happened: Quinn Hughes scored his fifth goal of the season to extend his active point streak to five games. The goal also marked the 500th point of his NHL career.

Why it matters: Reaching 500 career points cements Hughes among the league's elite scoring defensemen as he continues his early-season surge. His steady production anchors the offensive attack as the 2026-27 regular season moves into November.

What to watch: Hughes will look to push his scoring streak to six games in his next scheduled matchup.
