What happened: The Las Vegas Raiders selected running back Mike Washington Jr. from Arkansas with the 122nd overall pick in Round 4 of the 2026 NFL Draft. @RapSheet called it an old-school pick for a back who can fly, highlighting his 4.33 40-yard dash at the Combine. Washington emerged as a massive riser in the pre-draft process.

Why it matters: Washington brings elite speed to the Raiders' backfield for the 2026 season. Following their earlier selection of edge rusher Keyron Crawford, Las Vegas adds athleticism across positions. His burst could challenge for carries in training camp.

What to watch: Monitor Washington's fit in Raiders' RB room during rookie minicamp and OTAs.
