What happened: Cornerback L'Jarius Sneed, running back Brashard Smith, and linebacker Cooper McDonald joined tight end Travis Kelce (ankle) as limited participants in Thursday's session, while wide receiver Rashee Rice sat out a second straight Thursday practice alongside offensive tackle Jaylon Moore. The workout followed Kansas City's moves to place tackle Josh Simmons on injured reserve, sign Aiden Fisher to the practice squad, and waive Cam Jones.

Why it matters: With Simmons moved to injured reserve and Moore — a 2021 fifth-round selection (155th overall) out of Western Michigan — sidelined on Thursday, Kansas City faces offensive tackle attrition ahead of its trip to Seattle. Sneed, a 2020 fourth-round pick (138th overall) who re-signed on a one-year deal in June, and Kelce, a 2013 third-round pick (63rd overall), both logged on-field work in a managed capacity while Rice remained out.

By the numbers: Four Chiefs players practiced on a limited basis Thursday while two did not participate. Per ESPN (as of Sept. 29, 2026), Rice caught 53 passes for 571 yards and five touchdowns across eight games with Kansas City in 2025, Smith rushed 44 times for 151 yards in 17 games for the Chiefs in 2025, and Sneed recorded 26 tackles in seven games with the Titans in 2025.

What to watch: Friday's final injury report will establish game designations for Rice, Moore, and Kelce ahead of the Seattle matchup, while Kansas City evaluates McDonald's practice-window progress.
