What happened: Baltimore acquired quarterback Jacoby Brissett from Arizona in a trade that includes undisclosed draft compensation, the Ravens announced. Brissett had been en route to Baltimore, with the team now confirming the deal.

Why it matters: Lamar Jackson is on injured reserve after right thumb surgery, and Brissett is slated to take over as Baltimore's starter. Arizona, 3-5 after a 33-30 win at Dallas on Nov. 1, sends out a quarterback with eight games of play this season.

By the numbers: Brissett has completed 193 of 305 passes (63.3%) for 1,719 yards, 10 touchdowns and 7 interceptions in 2026 through 8 games. The Patriots drafted him in the third round of the 2016 NFL Draft, 91st overall, out of NC State. The Cardinals are 3-5 in 2026 through 8 games.

What to watch: Brissett is targeting a Week 10 debut against the Chargers. The NFL trade deadline falls on Nov. 10 at 4 p.m. ET.
