What happened: The Baltimore Ravens selected Missouri defensive end Zion Young with the 45th pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. Young measures 6-foot-6, 262 pounds with 33-inch arms and an 81 3/8-inch wingspan. Draft observers note he fell into Baltimore's lap and checks all physical boxes.

Why it matters: The pick bolsters the Ravens' defensive front for the 2026 season after they passed on a trade for a Raiders player due to knee concerns. It follows their earlier selection of Penn State G Vega Ioane at No. 14. Young's size addresses edge depth needs.

By the numbers: Zion Young measurables: 6'6", 262 lbs, 33" arms, 81⅜" wingspan.

What to watch: Monitor Ravens' subsequent draft picks and reactions from recent selections by Buccaneers (No. 46) and Lions (No. 44).
