What happened: Real Madrid published its squad for Wednesday's Champions League meeting with AS Roma at Stadio Olimpico. Eder Militao, Rodrygo Goes, Raul Asencio and Ferland Mendy are absent while Vinicius Jr is included. Dean Huijsen faces the club where he previously spent time on loan from Juventus.

Why it matters: The away date in Rome shapes selection decisions early in the European schedule. Availability across attack and defense defines Mourinho's rotation choices for the trip. Huijsen's prior loan link adds a selection storyline against familiar opposition.

What to watch: Watch for the starting lineup at Stadio Olimpico on Wednesday and how the traveling group is used.
