What happened: Henry Godbout, Boston Red Sox No. 11 prospect per MLB Pipeline, ripped a home run to left field during the Spring Breakout game on March 20. The shortstop/second baseman, selected 75th overall in the 2025 Draft as a compensatory pick for Nick Pivetta, has impressed with multiple spring homers. He previously homered in the Futures game at Fenway South on March 14.

Why it matters: Godbout's displays of power, aided by the Red Sox bat speed program, mark him as a Baseball America breakout candidate this season. For Red Sox fans tracking the farm system, it signals potential rapid ascent in rankings and future MLB contributions. While no immediate betting impact, it enhances appeal in prospect.

What to watch: Watch Godbout's ongoing minor league assignments and mid-season prospect re-rankings for further power development.
