What happened: The Detroit Red Wings recalled goaltender Michal Postava from the Grand Rapids Griffins under emergency conditions. Detroit also placed defenseman Albert Johansson on injured reserve retroactively to clear roster space.

Why it matters: The emergency recall bolsters Detroit's goaltending depth following their final result against the Tampa Bay Lightning. Placing Johansson on injured reserve gives the club roster flexibility while managing blue-line absences.

What to watch: Detroit continues regular-season play with Postava available to dress in net. Team staff will monitor Johansson's recovery timeline before activating him from injured reserve.
