What happened: Lakers coach JJ Redick said he is running out of ways to describe Luka Doncic, telling reporters, "For now... I don't have any words." Doncic scored 53 points with 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 three-pointers in an NBA Cup Group Play game.

Why it matters: The 53 made Doncic the first Laker since Kobe Bryant (Jan. 10-14, 2012) to score 40 or more in four straight games. Redick had already called this stretch "probably" the hottest he has seen from Doncic.

What to watch: Doncic will try to stretch the 40-point streak to five games in the Lakers' next outing.
