What happened: Angel Reese, Rhyne Howard and Jordin Canada collected 2026 All-Defensive Team honors as teammates. The recognition arrived with Atlanta pushing toward its first Finals berth since 2013.

Why it matters: Three high-level point-of-attack defenders in one rotation allow extensive switching without conceding open looks. That defensive backbone shapes Atlanta's matchup options deep into the postseason.

What to watch: First- and Second-Team designations will clarify placement within the honor. Atlanta's next playoff result determines its Finals path.
