What happened: Howard hit a buzzer-beating basket in CHI-ATL during the 2026 postseason push. The play aired on Prime Video.

Why it matters: The shot followed Howard's record-setting 129th 3-pointer one day earlier, extending a late-season run that has kept her at the center of the playoff race. In a tight postseason chase, one final possession can swing momentum and seeding.

By the numbers: Howard set the WNBA single-season 3-point record with her 129th make on Sept. 18, moving past Sabrina Ionescu.

What to watch: Watch for the final margin from CHI-ATL and whether Howard's late make carries postseason seeding implications.
