What happened: MLB Network announced that the Colorado Rockies and Los Angeles Angels meet next in a nationally televised matchup. The broadcast continues a current run of games between the two clubs.

Why it matters: The meeting matters because Colorado has been the aggressor lately, having rolled past the Angels 8-2 in Anaheim and outlasted them in a 9-8 slugfest the night before. A national MLB Network window puts both interleague-style storylines and roster momentum in front of a wider audience.

What to watch: Watch whether Colorado can sweep the momentum forward or the Angels respond at home. Lineups and starting pitchers for the televised game will set the tone.
