What happened: Roma have made an enquiry to Chelsea about Argentine winger Alejandro Garnacho as they look to add quality to their attacking line this window, according to journalist Alfredo Pedullà. Chelsea are weighing whether to sanction a permanent transfer or a loan move for the 21-year-old.

Why it matters: Garnacho would give Roma a direct, dynamic wide option and underline the club's ambition in the final third. He arrived at Chelsea only last year from Manchester United, so an early departure would mark a sharp turn in his career path.

What to watch: Chelsea are expected to settle Garnacho's future in the coming days, with Roma said to be open to either a permanent deal or a loan.
