What happened: Yahoo NHL reported that the Philadelphia Flyers were jumped in the NHL draft order after an interesting Buffalo Sabres trade. Reactions noted the deal slides Buffalo directly in front of Philadelphia at pick No. 20.

Why it matters: That matters because adjacent picks can change which prospects are still available and may force quicker decisions on draft-night trade calls. For the Philadelphia Flyers, it adds another wrinkle to an already active draft-positioning picture.

What to watch: Watch whether Philadelphia explores a move back ahead of Buffalo or stays put and adjusts its board. The next key signal will be any firm reporting on which prospects both teams are targeting.
